‘Devastated’ cricket community mourns ‘tragic’ Jake Neary death as tributes flood in

Cricket clubs and players in East Lancashire have paid emotional tributes to "one of life's true characters" who died following a crash.
Jake Neary was in an alleyway off Parramatta Street, Rawtenstall[1], when he was struck by an Audi A5 at around 11.20pm on Friday (July 26). Lancashire[2] Police said Mr Neary, who was in his 30s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
LancsLive reported earlier today[3] how floral tributes have been left at the scene of the fatal crash [4]and also outside Neary's General Store in Helmshore. Heartbreaking tributes have now been paid by both Haslingden[5] Cricket Club and Ramsbottom Cricket Club, where he was a beloved player, as well as other clubs and players in the county.
