Driver avoids disqualification after speeding on motorway
Robert Jeacock, of Woodpiece Road, Upper Arncott, Bicester[1], was caught on April 8 last year speeding on the M1 southbound.
The 55-year-old was caught in Luton, near the A1081 Airport Way, exceeding the 50mph limit.
He was caught on an automatic speed camera driving at 63mph.
At Luton and South Bedfordshire Magistrates Court on July 16, he pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined £200.
Three penalty points were added to his driving record.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £160 and court costs of £90.
The total amount he will need to pay is £450 by the end of August.
