Eight dead after tragic weekend of crash carnage on Scotland’s roads
EIGHT people have tragically died after a number of fatal crashes on Scotland's roads over the weekend.
Four bikers were killed in two separate crashes that happened on Sunday afternoon.

In the Borders[1], two bikes were involved in a fatal collision[2] on the A6088, a Suzuki GSXR and a Kawasaki ZX1400 motorbike.
Sadly, all three riders, a 37-year-old man, a 29-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, died at the scene[3].
The crash happened around 2.30pm, closing the road for seven hours to allow post-incident examination to take place.
Fifteen minutes later, another fatality occurred[4] on the A83 at Kilmory Roundabout in Lochgilphead, Argyll[5] and Bute.
involved a 29-year-old woman biker[6] who had been riding with three other motorcyclists.
The road was also closed for seven hours.
The four deaths followed four more, which happened between Friday night and Saturday evening.
The most serious of these occurred on Moss Road, near Dunmore in Falkirk[7], Stirlingshire.

Police[8] say they were alerted to a one-vehicle crash around 6.15pm on Friday evening.
Three young men – aged 21, 23 and 24, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The rural road was closed for around seven hours to allow investigations to be carried out.
On Saturday evening at around 7.30pm, police were called to the scene of another one-vehicle crash on the B7035 Girvan to Dailly Road in Girvan, Ayrshire[9].
Sadly, the 37-year-old male driver of a green Land Rover Defender died of his injuries.
The road was closed for almost 12 hours to allow investigations to be carried out and re-opened around 7.45am on Sunday morning.
Speaking about Sunday's triple fatality in the Borders, Sergeant Barry Sommerville said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the three people who died.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who can help to get in touch.
Our sympathies and condolences are with family and friends of everyone who has died or been injured in recent road traffic accidents.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson“If you were in the area at the time and have information, including dash-cam, that could assist with our investigation then please make contact with us.”
Officials from Transport Scotland are to seek information on the weekend death toll to see if any safety lessons can be learned for the future.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson said: "Our sympathies and condolences are with family and friends of everyone who has died or been injured in recent road traffic accidents.
“Police investigations into these accidents are on-going, so it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.
“However, as part of standard policy where incidents occur on the trunk road network, officials will meet with Police Scotland and our operating companies to get more detailed information.
