Everything we know so far as A1307 crash involving tractor and motorhome shuts road

The A1307 Cambridge Road near Fenstanton is blocked following a crash between a tractor and a motorhome[1], which has caused a spillage. Emergency services are at the scene, and it is not yet clear whether anyone has been injured.

The westbound carriageway is blocked as a result of the crash, which was first reported at around 9.35am. Traffic is queueing in the area.

A Cambridgeshire[2] Police spokesperson said: “We were called at about 9.20am today (8 July) with reports of a collision between a campervan and a tractor on the A1307 towards Huntingdon[3].

Emergency services are currently at the scene and the road is closed at St Ives. Details of injuries are unclear at this stage.”

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire County Council’s traffic management centre said: “Police have closed the road between westbound off slip to Conington Road and A1096 London Road, Fenstanton, due to a road traffic collision and spillage.

“Police state the road may be closed for some time. please avoid the area and allow extra time for your journey.”

Traffic data company Inrix said: “A1307 Cambridge Road Westbound blocked, queueing traffic due to accident, an overturned tractor and a caravan involved after J27 (Fenstanton).”
