Live A43 traffic updates today as crash in Deene leaves Northamptonshire road closed

A Northamptonshire A-road was closed following a crash today (Thursday, July 25). Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to the scene on the A43 at Deene.

The closure was first reported at around 8.10am – with the road fully reopening by 1.30pm. A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following the incident.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesperson said: “Following a collision earlier today, the A43 near Deene has now reopened. The collision involved a male motorcyclist in his 20s who has been taken to hospital, a van and a car. Anyone with information about the collision is asked to call 101 quoting incident 97 of July 25.”

Inrix, the traffic data company, said: “Traffic returned to normal, earlier accident on The A43 in both directions from A427 Airfield Way (Weldon) to Kirby Lane (Deene). Road closed since around 08:00. The road has now re-opened in both directions.”
