Lorry driver tragically dies after horror crash on A92 as road remains closed
A man has tragically died after a horror crash on A92 in Fife[1] on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, raced to A92 near Cowdenbeath after a lorry crashed[2] into the side of the road.
However, a 53-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene
The A92 will be partially closed eastbound between Crossgates and Cowdenbeath from 7.30pm while the lorry involved in a fatal road crash is recovered.
The Cowdenbeath junction will be closed and traffic will not be able to exit the A92 from there.
The road closure will be in place for several hours and members of the public are advised to avoid the area as there will be delays.
Sergeant Mike Thomson of Fife Road Policing said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
