Man charged after dramatic police chase on A46

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged on suspicion of several driving offences. The incident took place on the A46 last weekend, Saturday 29 June, near Beckford.

The pursuit took place along the A46 towards Evesham at around 5 pm after officers had attempted to stop a driver. The car was later involved in a collision with another vehicle and the occupants of both vehicles were assessed by paramedics as a precaution.

Kaya Hilton of Metchley Drive in Birmingham was charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving without insurance, failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis and assaulting an emergency worker.

He was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on Monday 29 July. Despite the arrest and charge, investigating officers still need anyone who witnessed this taking place or has any relevant dashcam/CCTV footage to come forward.
