Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital following crash involving van

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital following a crash involving a van in the Highlands.

Officers were called to the A87 near the Glen Shiel area at around 10.15am on Wednesday following the incident, which involved a motorbike and a van.

The motorcyclist was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment. His current condition is unknown.

Police said there are no other reported injuries and enquiries remain ongoing.

Officers thanked drivers for their patience while the road was closed for a number of hours.
