Pedestrian rushed to hospital after being hit by car near roundabout
A man has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a car on the A92 in Fife.
Emergency services were called to the road near the Halbeath to Crossgates roundabout on Sunday just before 11pm.
The 21-year-old pedestrian was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. Police said no one else was injured in the incident.
The eastbound carriage was closed overnight but reopened at around 6.50am on Monday.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We were called around 10.50pm on Sunday to a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on the A92 eastbound near the Halbeath to Crossgates roundabout.
“Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a 21-year-old man, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
“No one else was injured and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“The eastbound carriageway was closed and re-opened around 6.50am on Monday.”
