Rawtenstall crash tragedy as man dies in alleyway after late-night Audi collision

A man has died after being struck by a car in an alleyway, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to the scene off Parramatta Street in Rawtenstall^[1] town centre at around 11.20pm last night (July 26). They found that an Audi A5 car ‘had been in collision with a man who was in the alleyway’.

Lancashire Constabulary^[2] said the man, who is in his 30s and has not been named, was ‘very sadly pronounced deceased at the scene’. His family are being supported by specially trained officers.
