A1 crash latest as teenage girl fighting for her life and man arrested

A teenage girl is fighting for her life after a horrific multi-car pile-up on the A1(M)[1] yesterday which left multiple people seriously injured.

West Yorkshire Police[2] are appealing for witnesses after the horror crash involving two cars[3] and a car towing a caravan on the A1M southbound on Thursday (August 29). The crash happened at 12.35pm after a Citroen C5 collided with a Kia Ceed in the second lane of the motorway between junctions 41 (M62) and Junction 40 near Ferrybridge.

Both vehicles then entered lane one where the Kia collided with a Subaru Outback towing a caravan. People travelling in the Citroen and the Kia suffered serious injuries.
