A515 live updates as overturned lorry closes busy Derbyshire road both ways

Heavy traffic[1] built on a busy main road in Derbyshire due to an overturned lorry blocking the road in both directions. A crash was reported on the A515, between Oaks Green and Cubley, a few miles south of Ashbourne[2], at around 2pm this afternoon (Thursday, August 8).

Traffic monitoring system Inrix reported “queuing traffic” is to be expected in the area. It said: “The A515 is closed in both directions between the A50[3] (Sudbury) and the Boylestone turn off (Cubley).

“An overturned lorry has led to the road blocked in both directions. The road is closed, with heavy traffic queuing in the area.” Traffic maps, provided by Google, show traffic at a standstill on either side of the incident.
