Driver to pay over ?700 after speeding over 30mph speed limit

Stanciu Ciprian, of Red Poll Close, Banbury[1], was caught on January 14 this year speeding on the A594 Tigers Way northbound, near Leicester.

The 27-year-old was caught on an automatic speed camera driving at 43mph in a 30mph speed limit zone.

He appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on July 31 charged with speeding and pleaded guilty to the offences.

Ciprian was fined £440 and had four penalty points added to his driving record. There were also court costs of £110 and a victim surcharge of £176.

The total amount he will need to pay is £726 by the end of August.
