Road shut near Hoghton Tower due to serious crash

A major route between Preston and Blackburn is shut due to a serious crash.

Lancashire Police have officers on the scene in Hoghton Lane (A675).

The road is shut near to Hoghton Tower from Chapel Lane to the junction with The Boars Head pub.

The crash took place shortly after 5pm on Friday (30 August). Initial reports suggest a motorbike was involved in the crash.

An ambulance has been seen leaving the scene and a police cordon remains in place.

Hoghton Lane, where it becomes Blackburn Old Road, is shut in both directions as of 6pm.
