Truckers convoy for children returns for 37th trip
The convoy travelled down the A47 to Pleasurewood Hills where children and their families, alongside the lorry drivers, would spend the afternoon before making the return trip.
On the return leg, the lorries would drive down Marine Parade in Great Yarmouth, where people could come out to watch.
Mr Howlett said: “It’s a very special day for them [the children] because they don’t normally ride in trucks.
“It’s amazing to see the kiddies with a smile on their face, the air horn going. For a lot of them, it might be a one-off.”
He said the lorry drivers also loved seeing people lining the route on bridges over the A47 and Marine Parade.
