UPDATE: Occupants escape injury after car and truck crash at A9 junction near Aviemore

It is understood nobody was hurt in a crash between a car and a truck that closed the A9 north of Aviemore earlier today.

A driver of one of the vehicles was issued with a fixed penalty notice after the collision at about 4.45 pm near Granish at the junction with the A95 leading to the B9152.

The road was initially blocked in both directions and then was restricted for a spell in a southbound direction.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 4.45pm on Thursday, 1 August , 2024, we received a report of a crash involving a car and truck on the A9 just before the B9152. One driver was issued with a fixed penalty notice.”
