A BUSINESS owner sobbed as he appeared in court for assaulting his ex-girlfriend before stalking her over three months.
Aiden Cupid, of Cheltenham Street in Barrow[1], was sentenced at Preston Crown Court on August 2 after pleading guilty to charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and stalking involving serious alarm or distress.
Barrow woman used abusive language towards NHS mental health nurse
A WOMAN who used abusive language towards a nurse at Furness General Hospital has appeared in court.
Bethany Armstrong admitted she used abusive language towards the nurse at the A&E department waiting room on June 26 this year, South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court heard.

A THIEF has been jailed after he was caught stealing items from clothing stores in Ambleside.
Paul Rapka, formerly of William Street, Ulverston[6], worked in tandem alongside co-defendant Ian Tweedley to steal £780 worth of items, South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court heard.

A BARROW[18] businessman has admitted assaulting his brother-in-law and former business partner in an incident that left the victim with a ‘significant’ wound.
Paul Russell pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm after he admitted recklessly pushing over Sean Kell in an incident in Barrow.
