A500 crash between van and Audi leaves woman in Royal Stoke

A woman was taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the A500. Emergency services were sent to the D-road following the smash near to the Stoke[1] and Fenton[2] turning shortly before 1pm today (September 25).

Staffordshire Police have confirmed the collision involved a white Mercedes sprinter van and a purple Audi A1. The Audi driver was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital but her injuries are not thought to be serious.

A force spokesman said: “We were called to the A500 near to the City Road turnoff at 12.55pm today following reports of a two-vehicle collision involving a white Mercedes sprinter van and a purple Audi A1.

“Officers went to the scene alongside Highways. Recovery for both vehicles was arranged. The driver of the Audi, a woman, was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be serious.”
