Four people treated at scene after multi-vehicle crash on A862 west of Inverness
Four people were treated at the scene after a multi-vehicle crash blocked the A862[1] Inverness to Beauly road on Friday morning.
The road was blocked for a time just west of Mitchell’s Motorcycles on the western edge of the city after a collision at around 11.24am.
It is understood that a van and two cars were involved in the crash, which occurred on the A862 at a minor road junction[2] that leads onto a railway level crossing over the Far North Line.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were all scrambled to the scene.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said it sent two fire engines to the site to help make the vehicles safe following the crash.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service added: “We received a call at 11.24am today to attend a road traffic collision on the A862.
“We dispatched two ambulances and a GP to the scene. We treated and discharged four patients at the scene.”
Police were also approached for comment.
