Four weeks of road closures to repair damage

Part of a road will be closed overnight for four weeks to repair damage.

An accident involving an overturned lorry previously damaged the verge and carriageway of the A65 in Cumbria, leaving the road unsupported.

From Monday, the stretch of road between Crooklands roundabout and Nook will be fully closed to all traffic overnight.

Westmorland and Furness Council said a diversion route would be in place, and emergency services had been informed.
