Long A500 delays as lorry, van and car in D-road smash

Police were called to the A500[1] after a collision between a lorry, car and a van. The smash triggered long delays on the D-road.

StokeonTrentLive reported[2] at the time how the collision near Audley, on the westbound carriageway, saw queues back past Talke. Now Staffordshire Police[3] have confirmed nobody was hurt in Wednesday’s collision.

Officers had been called to the scene at 12.50pm.

A spokeswoman for the county force said: “We were called to reports of a collision involving a van, a car and a lorry on the A500 westbound near Audley. No-one was injured.”
