M40 reopens near Bicester following serious crash
Thames Valley Police was called to a crash in which a lorry overturned on the southbound carriageway at around noon between junctions nine and 10 near Bicester yesterday (September 16).
Thames Valley Air Ambulance landed at the scene to provide advanced critical care as a large recovery operation took place after damage to the central reservation.
The stretch of motorway was closed in both directions throughout the evening.
At around 3am this morning (September 17) National Highways confirmed the road had reopened in both directions. Thanks for your patience, traffic has been released in all lanes on the #M40[2] southbound between J10 (#A43[3]) and J9 (#Bicester[4]). Lane closures also removed northbound.
