M6 delays live in Staffordshire as lorry and car collide and caravan breaks down
Drivers are being warned of long delays on the M6 in Staffordshire following a crash between a lorry and a car. The collision has happened on the southbound carriageway before junction 13 for Stafford.
The tailbacks are being made worse as a caravan has also broken down on the same stretch. Only one of four lanes remain open. It is not yet known whether there are any serious injuries following the smash.
Traffic monitoring site Inrix says: "Long delays and three lanes closed due to accident, a lorry and a car involved and broken down caravan on M6 Southbound before J13 A449 (Stafford South). Congestion to Stafford Services.
"There is an accident and a broken down car towing a caravan in close proximity. The accident is closing lane one (of four) and the car towing the caravan is closing lanes three and four (of four). Stafford Services is between J15 and J14."
