Man in 80s in hospital after crash on M6 near Lancaster
The emergency services were called to the Forton Services on the M6 northbound, shortly before 4.30pm yesterday.
A man in his 80s, who was involved in a crash with a Volvo HGV, suffered significant injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered serious injuries in a collision.
“We were called by the ambulance service to the Forton Services on the M6 northbound near Lancaster at shortly before 4.30pm yesterday (Monday, September 2)
“A pedestrian in his 80s suffered significant injuries after he was involved in a collision with a Volvo HGV.
“He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.”
Sergeant Dan Gunn, of the road policing unit, said: “This incident has left a man with some really significant injuries, and I would appeal to anyone who either saw what happened or who has any dash camera or mobile phone footage to get in touch.”
