Man left with horrific injuries after being ‘trapped underneath lorry’ in M6 crash

A pensioner has been left with ‘really significant injuries’ after being left ‘trapped underneath the cab of an articulated lorry’ following a horror crash on the M6.

The man in his 80s was involved in a smash with a volvo HGV on the stretch of the motorway next to Forton Services, near Lancaster, at around 4:30pm on Monday afternoon (September 2).

Emergency services including police, paramedics and firefighters all rushed to the scene. Fire crews helped rescue the man before he was taken to hospital. He remains in a serious condition and an appeal for witnesses has now been launched.
