Van driver arrested after motorcycle rider dies on A505 collision in Cambridgeshire
A motorcycle rider has died and a van driver has been arrested following a three-vehicle collision on the A505 in Cambridgeshire.
Emergency services were called to the A505 at The Causeway in Pampisford at about 5.15pm on Wednesday (18 September) after reports of a collision involving a motorbike, a delivery van and a Mercedes car.
The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the van, a 49-year-old man from Kettering, who was not injured, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and released on bail until 15 December.
The driver of the Mercedes, a woman in her 60s, was uninjured.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision, saw any of the vehicles in the moments leading up to it, or anyone who has relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
