Witness appeal after motorcyclist dies on M25

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a crash on the M25.

The incident was reported to Kent Police just before 12:30 BST on Thursday, with the motorway then blocked in both directions[1] between junctions five (Sevenoaks), and six (Godstone) until the early hours of Friday.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, died at the scene and his next of kin have been informed.

A lorry driver, who police said “may not have been aware of the severity of the collision” and had left the scene, has been found and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
