Cyclist in 70s left with ‘life-changing injuries’ following crash
A cyclist in his 70s who was injured in a crash in Oxfordshire is believed to have ‘life-changing injuries’, police say.
The collision between a white long-wheel based van and a cyclist occurred between 6am and 6.10am on Monday, September 16 on the A4130 near Halifax Road in Wallingford[1].
The 71-year-old was previously in a critical condition, and police have today (October 3) confirmed he now remains in hospital with ‘serious’ injuries.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “His condition is now not thought to be life-threatening, but are believed to be life-changing injuries.”
A 30-year-old man from Leicester was arrested on Friday, September 20, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving a motor vehicle dangerously.
