Emergency services called to overturned lorry crash
FIREFIGHTERS were called after a rolled-over lorry blocked motorists on a countryside road.
Motorists faced delays on Thursday evening after a lorry overturned, blocking Blandford Hill, Winterbourne Whitechurch.
The road was temporarily closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
The Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service was also called to clean an oil spillage that had been caused by the crash.
A spokesperson for DWFRS said: “We were called at 4.02pm today (24 October) to Blandford Hill, Winterborne Whitechurch to reports of an overturned lorry.
“One crew from Blandford have attended, no-one was trapped but there was a spillage of oil, so they worked to make the scene safe.”
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 4.01pm of a single vehicle collision involving a lorry that had overturned on the A354 at Blandford Hill, Winterborne Whitechurch.
“Officers have attended, and road closures have been put in place. There are no reports of any injuries at this time.”
