Live: Lorry and car crash on M5 near Bristol during rush hour
Three lanes are closed on the M5 following a lorry and car crash near Bristol this afternoon (Wednesday, October 9). The collision took place heading northbound and there is now queuing traffic on the motorway.
According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the lanes closures are in place between junction 17 for Cribbs Causeway and junction 16 for Aztec West. The crash was first reported by Inrix at around 4.30pm.
Inrix says: "Queueing traffic and three lanes closed due to accident, a lorry and a car involved on M5 Northbound from J17 A4018 (Cribbs Causeway) to J16 A38 Gloucester Road (Aztec West).
"Lanes one, two and three (of four) are now closed, traffic was held briefly around 16:30 to close another lane."
