Lorry fire breaks out at Gloucester junction of M5
A lorry fire broke out near the M5 junction[1] for Gloucester this afternoon (Tuesday, October 1). According to traffic monitoring[2] site Inrix, a lane was closed heading southbound on the motorway at junction 11A.
A lane was also closed on the A417 while the blaze is extinguished. Both lanes reopened and traffic returned to normal by 5.20pm.
Inrix says: “Earlier lorry fire on M5 Southbound at J11A A417 (Gloucester / Cirencester). Camera shows lane one (of two) was closed.”
