M25 J22 London Colney crash: Man fighting for life

Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service were called to reports that a pedestrian had been struck by cars at 12.34am yesterday (October 24).

The incident was reported on a clockwise carriageway of the main road, near J22 for London Colney. 

An ambulance, rapid response vehicle and a vehicle from Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were called to the scene. 

A man was found with life-threatening injuries and was taken to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment where he remains. 

Hertfordshire Police have launched an appeal for witnesses with information and dash cam footage of the incident. 

Sgt Tim Davies, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing at this time to establish the circumstances around the collision.

“As part of this, we’re appealing for anyone with information to please come forward. Did you see the collision? Did you see the man in the carriageway prior to it?

“Any information at all could assist us as we progress the investigation. We’d be particularly keen to hear from anyone who captured dash cam footage.”
