Pensioner dies two months after being involved in M6 crash at Junction 33

The crash took place close to Junction 33 of the M6 northbound Pic: GooglePolice are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner died two months after being involved in a crash on the M6.
The 82-year-old woman was taken to hospital after a crash involved a car, van and a lorry in the early hours of Monday 5 August.
The crash took place on the northbound carriageway at Galgate close to junction 33 on the stretch between Broughton and Lancaster.
She was driving a blue Ford Fiesta in the crash which happened at 4.13am and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police say she passed away in hospital on 8 October.
A Mercedes Sprinter and a Scania R500 lorry were involved in the crash. No one else was hurt in the crash.
A police spokesperson said: “A lady has very sadly lost her life following this collision. First and foremost, our thoughts are with her loved ones at this upsetting time.
“We know that this happened a while ago, but we are now asking for your help. A number of people will have seen the vehicles involved, particularly the blue Fiesta, prior to the collision and if you have any information or footage that may assist our enquiries, please get in contact.”
