Police investigate after BMW and white van crash on M5 near Taunton
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of a crash on the M5[1] to come forward. Police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash around 9.30am on Thursday, August 22.
A white Ford Luton van and a white BMW saloon crashed on the M5 northbound carriageway near Taunton Deane services[2]. The BWM was damaged as a result of the crash but it is not believed anyone was seriously injured.
Police spoke to both drivers at the scene, but they are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting the reference number 5224221448.
A statement from Avon and Somerset Police[3] said: “We are appealing for witnesses or motorists with dashcam to help us investigate a collision on the M5.
“A white Ford Luton van and a white BMW saloon collided on the M5 northbound carriageway. The BMW sustained damage during the incident that happened north of the Taunton Deane services at about 9.30am on Thursday 22 August.
“We have spoken with both drivers but wish to hear from any witnesses who have not yet come forward. If you can help, please contact us online or on 101 and quoting reference number 5224221448 .”
