Road closed after crash involving car and lorry

Emergency have been at the scene of a crash involving a car and a lorry for several hours. Llanharry Road has been closed between Llanharan and Llanharry since 10am on Tuesday.

A statement from South Wales Police[1] said officers were called to a road traffic collision on Llanharry Road in Llanharan.

It added that a lorry and a Vauxhall Corsa have collided. Ambulance crews also attended the scene. A spokesman said: "The road is currently closed in both directions between Llanhary Road and the junction with A473 Bridgend[2] Road."

Traffic monitoring system Inrix showed that that road was still closed at 4pm as investigation work was carried out. Bus services in the area have also been diverted. At around 4.30pm, South Wales Police confirmed that the road remained closed while vehicle removal was being dealt with and the road cleared.
