The mobile speed cameras with eyes on West Yorkshire roads this week

As usual, mobile speed cameras will be in place at a number of locations across West Yorkshire this week, in an attempt to catch speeding drivers and reduce the number of accidents on the region’s roads.

They are put in place by the West Yorkshire Police^[1] on the behalf of the West Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership. The cameras are located across Bradford^[2] , Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield^[3] .

According to the Camera Partnership, the cameras work by pointing a laser at passing cars. The cameras are also put in place in known casualty zones, where accidents take place, in a bid to reduce them.

These locations are accurate at the time of writing but are subject to change without warning.
