Three people injured in Scunthorpe collision

Three people were taken to hospital following a collision in Scunthorpe[1] on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to the junction of Winterton Road and Risby Road at around 2.35pm, following reports that a Ford Transit van and a Vauxhall Corsa had been involved in a collision.

The two drivers and a passenger in the car were taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police[2] said: “Officers investigating a two-vehicle road traffic collision in Scunthorpe on Thursday 28 October are appealing for witnesses.

“It is reported at around 2.35pm that a Ford Transit and a Vauxhall Corsa were in collision on the A1077 at the junction of Winterton Road and Risby Road.

“Emergency services attended and the two drivers and a passenger in the Vauxhall Corsa were taken to hospital to receive medical treatment for their injuries.

“We would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision, or anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage that may assist with our enquires to contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 261 of 28 October.”
