Two children among five people killed in horror crash on M6 motorway
Two children are among five people who died in a horror crash on the M6 motorway. The collision, which involved a Skoda and a Toyota, happened on the northbound carriageway near Tebay Services, with police being called at 4.04pm on Tuesday.
The man driving the Toyota, as well as a woman and two children, all from Glasgow, were pronounced dead at the scene. The Cambridgeshire man driving the Skoda was also declared dead at the crash site.
A third child in the Toyota was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle with serious injuries. Cumbria Police said: “The families of those involved are being supported by specially trained officers.”
The M6 was reopened in the early hours of Wednesday. Cumbria Police have urged anyone with information about the crash to come forward and report it online here[3], referencing incident number 146 of October 15, or to call 101.
