Two die in crash on A43 near Cambridgeshire as police appeal for information
Two people have died in a crash on the A43 near Cambridgeshire[1]. The crash, which happened on October 7 at around 3.40pm, involved a white Citroen Berlingo van and a white Scania goods vehicle.
The vehicles were travelling in opposite directions on the A43 between Northampton[2] and Kettering. A second crash then happened, involving the Scania and a blue Mercedes AMG car. Both drivers were not injured.
The driver of the Citroen, a man in his 40s, died at the scene, as did a passenger, a man in his 30s. A second passenger, a man in his 20s, was seriously injured.
The A43 remains closed between the Holcot/Sywell roundabout and the Walgrave/Hannington junction on Tuesday (October 8). It is expected to re-open later in the day.
A Northamptonshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit believe the A43 would have been busy at this time of day and would like to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage that captured any part of the collision. “Please quote incident number 24000598926 when providing any information to make sure it gets to the right person as quickly as possible.”
