A500 drivers caught out as police deploy crime-fighting lorry

Police have used a truck to help put the brakes on rule-breaking A500 [1]motorists. During the crackdown officers also targeted the M6 through North Staffordshire.
Now officers with Staffordshire Police's road crime team[2] have revealed how 30 offences were recorded during yesterday's initiative.
Staffordshire cops using an unmarked truck is not a new concept and forms part of the national Operation Tramline. The initiative sees forces team up with National Highways to use a HGV cab to give officers a clear view into that of other lorries along with other vehicles.
