Door County Sheriff’s Office identifies Sturgeon Bay man who died in WIS 42 crash

EGG HARBOR, Wis. (WFRV) – Deputies have provided an update on Wednesday morning’s deadly crash on WIS 42[1], providing the identity of the 64-year-old man who died after a collision with an SUV.

According to the Door County Sheriff’s Office[2], deputies say the 64-year-old Sturgeon Bay man who died has been identified as Glen Reimer.

Multiple agencies were called to a two-vehicle crash on WIS 42 in Egg Harbor near Sunny Point Road around 10:35 a.m. on November 20. Advertisement Advertisement

Deputies say an initial investigation showed that a van driven by Reimer was heading south on WIS 42 when it reportedly crossed the center line and hit a northbound SUV.

Reimer was taken to a local hospital where he was then pronounced dead.

Deputies say that an autopsy was conducted at the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office on November 21, the results of the autopsy are still pending.

This incident remains under investigation and no other information is being released at this time.
