ETS Trucks acquires MAN dealer in Redruth

The Dorset-based commercial vehicle repair and maintenance company ETS Trucks has acquired the MAN dealer Patrick Uren Commercials (PUC) in Redruth, Cornwall. ETS Trucks caters to MAN[1] and Iveco[2] vehicles at its Poole depot, while its site in Blandford looks after Mercedes-Benz[3] and Fuso[4] trucks.

Darren Gale, operations director for ETS said, “The acquisition of PUC was a natural progression for us, both companies are family run and very focused on customer service. They will complement each other very well and allow us to combine systems and working practises to ensure we can give our customers the very best service at all of our branches, we are looking forward to working with the staff at PUC and developing relationships with new customers and

making friends in Cornwall.”

ETS Trucks was established in 1994 and became an approved MAN service centre in 1997. The business introduced a tachograph centre in 2008. The company moved to a larger site close by in Poole in 2014 to support a period of growth and to offer its services to more vehicles. This coincided with the addition of Iveco servicing and the opening as an authorised testing facility (ATF) after the local DVSA test station closed. In 2019, ETS Trucks opened a new location in Blandford which became the local garage for Mercedes-Benz trucks and UNIMOGs. ETS Trucks also offers MOTs, breakdown cover and tail lift inspections and servicing.

Patrick Uren Commercials was founded nearly 37 years ago at the start of 1988. The MAN dealer is based just off the A30 in Redruth, ideally positioned to cater to the Cornish market. The depot offers truck, bus and van sales as well as servicing and parts for fleets based in Cornwall.

The acquisition will expand ETS Trucks’ MAN coverage further west from its base in Dorset.
