Inquest opens into death of man in Flint Mountain crash

David Thomas Parry, of Chestnut Close, Flint, was tragically pronounced dead[1] at the scene of the incident[2] on the A5119 in Flint Mountain on November 18. At County Hall in Ruthin on Monday, an inquest was opened into the 52-year-old’s death. It heard that emergency services, including an air ambulance were called to the incident at around 1.10pm following a collision involving a pedestrian and a HGV.

Despite all care and efforts, the pedestrian, identified as Mr Parry, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene at 1.52pm.

A pathologist’s provisional cause of death following a post-mortem examination is head injury.

John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales East and Central, adjourned a full inquest pending further investigation by North Wales Police’s forensic collision investigation unit.
