Live: A381 in Cornwall still closed hours after crash injured five people

An A-road in Cornwall is still closed after a serious crash this morning (November 26). Emergency services have been at the A381 near St Issey since around 8.30am, when a car and a lorry collided. Five people were taken to Treliske Hospital.

Police officers and firefighters attended the scene with air ambulance staff. Photos taken at the scene show emergency services are still there as of around 2pm. Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service[1] said: "Two appliances from Padstow[2] and a Flexi Duty Officer attended this incident.

It involved one lorry and a car with five casualties in total but no persons trapped in the vehicles. Fire service crew assisted with casualty care and scene safety. "The air ambulance and a land ambulance were also on scene along with the police, the casualties were transported to Treliske via land ambulance with broken bones but not life-threatening injuries."
