M6 driver’s day goes from bad to worse after he’s spotted doing something wrong
An M6 driver's day went from bad to worse after he was spotting driving while using his mobile phone. The Mercedes van driver was spotted by police officers on his phone as he drove on the motorway.
Staffordshire[1] Police said officers pulled up along the driver but he was unaware of their presence. The van was stopped at Keele Services in Staffordshire, between junctions 15 and 16.
There, officers also discovered he was driving the van uninsured and seized the vehicle. And they issued a prohibition due to 'defects' discovered on the van.

According to the UK government website, prohibition can prevent drivers from driving until they fix a problem with their vehicle. The notices can be handed out by police officers and officials from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
