Man arrested after crashing van at County Durham roundabout

A man has been arrested after a roundabout crash totalled a van in County Durham last night.

Police were called to Bournmoor last night (November 16) – to a roundabout on the A1052 following a crash involving a van.

Pictures show the crash left the front end of the van unrecognisable as well as signage on the roundabout itself badly damaged.

One man was arrested.

A police statement reads: “Officers from the Chester le Street response and neighbourhood teams attended a road traffic collision earlier this evening, at a roundabout on A1052 at Bournmoor.

“One male has been arrested and is currently in custody.”
