Man rushed to Edinburgh hospital after being struck by vehicle while walking dog
A Fife man has been rushed to a hospital in Edinburgh after he was struck by a car while walking his dog.
At around 6.35pm on Thursday, November 14, the 64-year-old pedestrian was struck by a white Mercedes A200 on Leuchatsbeath Drive in Cowdenbeath[1].
The man was conveyed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh[2] with serious injuries, where he remains, while his dog sustained minor injuries.
The road remained closed for investigation until around 1am on Friday, 15 November, 2024.
Road policing officers are now appealing for information following the serious road crash.

Sergeant Tom Aitken, from the Glenrothes Road Policing Unit, said: “Enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident are ongoing and we’d like to thank those in the local community who have spoken with officers so far.
“We continue to appeal for anyone with information, or who may have been in the area around the time of the incident, to please come forward.
“You can call police on 101, quoting incident 3097 of 14 November, 2024.”
