Motorcyclist dies after Bramley crash
A motorcyclist has died after a crash on a major road through a Surrey village. Emergency services were called to the A281 Horsham Road shortly after 9am on Monday, November 18, following reports of a collision between a van and a motorbike[1].
South East Coast Ambulance Service attended but the rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van stopped at the scene and has been assisting police with enquiries.
The road in Bramley was closed for almost seven hours, between its junctions with Station Road and Maiden Lane, while investigation work was carried out. Surrey Police[2] is now appealing for witnesses.
A police spokesperson said: "We are now looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or have any dashcam, helmet or CCTV footage that may have captured all or part of this incident. Were you driving along Horsham Road between 8.50am and 9am on Monday morning? If you have any information that might assist our investigation, please get in touch quoting PR/45240132761"
