Road reopens following major crash involving lorry

A road has reopened following a major crash which has left a driver with life-threatening injuries. The A34 southbound between Didcot and Chilton reopened this morning. It had been closed since around 1pm on Wednesday (November 20) after a major crash involving a car and a lorry.

Emergency resurfacing works were carried out overnight. This morning National Highways said there are around 10 minutes of delays with one mile of congestion remaining on approach, and urged motorists to “allow time for these to clear”. Emergency services, including a Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, were in attendance.
