A schoolgirl was injured after being hit by a car in a Tamworth[1] street. The incident took place in Quarry Hill in Wilnecote on Friday (November 8).
The 15-year-old girl was a pedestrian, who is believed to have just finished school, when she was then hit by a grey Ford Fiesta. The incident took place by the speed camera in the road.
She was spotted on the pavement surrounded by school friends by a passerby before police, an ambulance and her mum came. The girl suffered a head injury, with a gash to the back, along with ‘lumps, bumps, grazes and bruises across her body’ according to her mum who posted online. The driver did stop after the incident.
Her mum responding to a post online said: “My daughter got struck by a car when she was attempting to cross the road with her friend and sister after school. We spent the evening in hospital. This has shook everyone involved up. We’re just so glad she is fit and well and home.”
